AcneMany adolescents experience acne due to the massive increase in hormone production, which often leads to an overproduction of sebum, or naturally produced oils in the skin that cause blockages in the skins sebaceous glands. Top this with the fact that most teenagers eat a poor diet which is usually nutrient deficient, and take too many fizzy drinks and in some cases too much alcohol. Is it any wonder that the body protests! Sugar and fat are the biggest offenders in teenagers, while in adults the main contributing factor is internal toxicity. This can be from constipation, candida or food intolerances. The key factor in helping to prevent acnes is to address it internally and externally. Our liver is the main organ for eliminating toxins from the body so this needs to be supported so that it functions at its optimal. A stressed liver that is unable to cope with toxic overload will start to use the skin as a dumping ground to eliminate the toxins. The surface of the skin also needs to be addressed so that any eruptions can be dealt with properly without causing scarring by over zealous squeezing of the spots. A good diet, good supplementation and a clear liver (live support) are the vital elements for controlling acne.
